History of Trex

From their conception in 1966, Trex has been a leader in innovative solutions to composite decking. Being green before being green was a buzzword, Trex began developing low-maintenance composite decking products using recycled plastic, reclaimed timber and sawdust. By the early 2000’s, due to soaring popularity, Trex began expanding their range of colours and styles available. In 2010 Trex introduced Trex Transcend which has a protective shell that protects against fading, scratching, staining and mould. Trex continues to develop innovative products for outdoor living, expanding to pergolas, lighting, furniture and coordinated railings to complete their customers outdoor living spaces.
